features

The whole machine, driven from a thumb

PhoneCMD is a thin client on your phone talking to a host app on your PC. The desktop does the work; the phone points and taps.

coding agents
One-tap launch for Claude, Codex, Copilot, Cursor, Gemini, Antigravity & Aider. The app detects which are installed, lets you pick a folder and pass a first prompt, then drops you into a live session.
resume any session
The one nobody else has: reopen a past agent conversation by its exact session — from this folder, or browse every project on your PC and resume any one. New tabs stay separate, so nothing gets crossed.
terminal
Run any shell command with live streaming output. Multiple tabs, history saved on the PC, Ctrl-C — a real terminal in your pocket.
files
Browse every drive, read and edit files, rename, delete. Your computer's filesystem, on the phone.
gpt agent
Chat with GPT using your own OpenAI key — it runs commands, reads files, and builds launch profiles for you. Watch it live, stop it anytime.
tabs & profiles
Run several agents at once in separate tabs. Save named profiles — a CLI plus a working dir — and relaunch with a tap.
anywhere
Same WiFi or across the internet via a direct peer-to-peer connection. Nothing to configure — the desktop app handles it.

coding CLIs

Drive Claude, Codex & the rest from your pocket

PhoneCMD detects the coding agents installed on your PC and launches them in a real, persistent terminal. You watch the reply stream in and answer prompts with the on-screen keys — the session stays alive between messages, exactly like sitting at the keyboard.

  • Claude, Codex, Copilot, Cursor, Gemini, Antigravity & Aider — whichever you have
  • Pick a working folder and send a first prompt on launch
  • Answer [Y/n], menus and Ctrl-C from the key bar

resume anything

Pick up any past conversation, from any project

Every coding CLI keeps its own history on disk. PhoneCMD reads it and lets you reopen the exact conversation — from the current folder, or by browsing every project on the whole PC. Each new tab is its own separate session, so nothing ever gets crossed.

  • Resume by exact session — never a stray “most recent”
  • Browse all projects on the PC and reopen any chat in its own folder
  • Works for Claude, Codex, Copilot, Cursor & Antigravity

real terminal

A true shell, not a one-shot box

Every session is a real PTY on your PC — CMD, PowerShell, Bash. Set an env var, cd somewhere, start a REPL; it’s all still there in your next command. Output streams live, wraps to the screen, and the history is saved on the machine so you can re-run it with a tap.

  • Persistent sessions that survive between messages
  • Multiple shells & CLIs, switch like tabs
  • PC-side command history — tap to re-run

how it works

Paired in under a minute

No accounts, no cloud holding your data. The desktop is the host; the phone connects to it directly.

step 01

open the desktop app

It starts a local server and shows a pairing QR. Choose how long it stays valid — or never expires.

step 02

scan with your phone

The app scans the QR and runs an end-to-end encrypted handshake. Approve the device on your desktop and you're in.

step 03

control your PC

Terminal, files, coding CLIs, and the GPT agent — all over a direct, encrypted peer-to-peer channel. Your traffic never touches our servers.

security

Private by construction

Every byte between your phone and PC is end-to-end encrypted with libsodium. The connection is direct peer-to-peer, so your commands and files never pass through our servers at all. Your OpenAI key never leaves the phone.

Questions, answered

What is PhoneCMD?

PhoneCMD is a thin client on your phone that talks to a host app on your PC. You get a real terminal, a file browser, one-tap coding CLIs, and an on-device AI agent — the desktop does the work while the phone points and taps.

Does it work when I'm away from home?

Yes. PhoneCMD works on the same WiFi or across the internet through a direct, end-to-end encrypted peer-to-peer connection between your phone and PC. Nothing to configure — the desktop app handles it.

Is PhoneCMD secure?

Every byte between your phone and PC is end-to-end encrypted with libsodium (X25519 key exchange + XSalsa20-Poly1305). The connection is direct peer-to-peer, so your session traffic goes phone-to-PC directly, not through our servers — and your API keys never leave the phone.

How do I pair my phone with my PC?

Open the desktop app to get a pairing QR or keycode, scan or paste it in the phone app, approve the device, and you're connected — usually under a minute, with no account required.

How much does PhoneCMD cost?

PhoneCMD is free forever with a limit of 10 terminal commands per day. Pro removes the cap and adds multiple paired PCs for $1 a day, $3 per week, or $8 per month.

Can I run Claude Code or Codex from my phone?

Yes. PhoneCMD detects installed coding CLIs — Claude, Codex, Copilot, Cursor, Gemini, Antigravity and Aider — and launches them with one tap in the folder you choose, passing your prompt straight in. It can also reopen a CLI's past conversation by session, from any project on your PC. You can also chat with an on-device GPT or Claude agent using your own API key.

Install, pair, done

Run the desktop host on your computer, install the phone app, scan the QR. That's the whole setup.

iOS coming soon

The installer isn't code-signed (a certificate costs ~$300/yr), so Windows shows “Windows protected your PC” — click More info → Run anyway. On macOS, right-click the app → Open. Nothing else to install.
